Panning

When photographing a moving subject, the panning technique is achieved by keeping the subject in the same position of the frame for the duration of the exposure. The length of the exposuremust be long enough to allow the background to blur due to the movement of the camera as the photographer follows the subject in the viewfinder.

The chorus under Susan Steenkamp Swanepoel is beautiful and many members of the BTE VO1SS Opera Chorus are also members of the BTE VO1SS Academy which trains opera singers. Members of the Academy are Dorah Kganakga, Segomotso Shupinyaneng, Naledi Mabi, Tshegofatso Moleyane, Pretty Skhosana, Kagiso Boroko, Mteto Maphoyi, Mziwxolo Stokwe, Martin Mkhize and Solly Motaung.

The concert took place on 27 September 2012 at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City. Forthcoming events are the BTE Spring Dinner Concert at the Blue Diamond Boutique Hotel on 26 October, Sunday Morning Concert: The Magic of the Musicals at the Drama Theatre, State Theatre, Pretoria, on 28 October, a Christmas Concert at the Linder Auditorium on 30 November, a Christmas Concert in the Park at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens on 1 December and in the Pretoria Botanical Gardens on 8 December.
